Charity Accounts

At Derbyshire Accountants, we take pride in being able to offer a service to local charities at a very competitive rate, to ensure that they remain compliant with the Charities Act 2011 and if relevant the Companies Act 2006.

We understand that charities are providing a very well deserved service to the communities of local areas, and we appreciate that funds are better spent on their charitable activities rather than high finance costs. This is why we offer a reduced rate to provide accountancy services to charities within Whitchurch, Andover, Basingstoke and the surrounding areas.

For financial years ending on or after 1 April 2009, charities with a gross income of £500,000 or less may chose to have an independent examination in place of an audit unless both their gross assets exceed £3.26 million and their gross income exceeds £250,000.

We are able to carry out independent examinations, assist with the Trustees Annual Report and year-end accounts, submit accounts to the Charities Commission and also assist with the preparation of your Charity Annual Return.

Being a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and having a number of years of experience in undertaking Charity Independent Examinations allows us to competently and efficiently carry out charity independent examinations for all charities who fall below the audit threshold. We are able to attend your Charity AGMs to discuss the financial results in detail and can offer advice on internal controls, risk management and can assist with any other issues of concerns during the meetings and throughout your financial year.
